Teaching the language of ‘woof’ – where communication, compassion & confidence collide!
Are you and your pup feeling frustration, avoidance, lack of self-control? Are your K9’s listening ears nonexistent? Are you road surfing while trying to walk your dog? PIM can help! These feelings are all going to be a thing of the past once communication, compassion & confidence collide! We work with your pup to create positive training environments where their learning and education can develop and flourish. Most importantly, upon picking up your pup, we will teach you how to use the same language, mechanics, and routine that your pup has been immersed in. With any relationship, human or animal, communication and clear understanding are keys to a strong & lasting bond.
Concept: We use our own building block method. We build 1 block at a time to create a strong foundation & balanced training. We have formulated and adopted theses concept methods below to ensure your pup’s education is based off positive curriculum and methods with lasting results.
The collision of the 5 “C’s” - communication, compassion, consistency, creativity & confidence (PIM)
The royal “R’s” – reward, rest, reflect, rewind, repeat (PIM)
The aced “A’s” – accountability, action, acknowledgement (PIM)
The distinct “D’s” – duration, distance, distractions (AKC)
The “F” word – FUN!! We incorporate FUN into your pup’s education program – sometimes we all just need to have a day of FUN!! (PIM)
Compassionate training – R+ canine training is positive reinforcement training – we do not use intimidation or punishment as a training technique. We focus our first few days bonding with your pups and figuring out what his/hers best learning style is. Just like humans, animals are individuals too. Some pup's might be sensitive, while others are strong and stoic. It is up to us, as the trainers, to use compassion and understanding while we create the best teaching techniques for a fun and positive training adventure. Our training will form a solid foundation of obedience training that will be continued by their owners when their pup returns home. Not only is spending time with your dog a bonding experience, but the continued training at home will also create an even better lasting partnership.
Role model dogs or “nanny” dogs – Our professionally trained, personal dogs are often used in our programs to aid in human & dog training techniques, anxiety behaviors and distractions. By using our neutral natured pups, it will add a unique and safe environment to add training for dogs and owners to teach, awareness, dog cues, how to stay in control as the handler and how to set up a scenario for success with your pup.
This includes - space sharing, “locked on” (staring avoidance) training, confidence building, “show” training, greeting manners (or avoidance) and how to keep your dog’s focus on you while outside distractions are occurring.
E- Collar & Prong collar training: - have NO fear – these training aids are NOT punishments, a “shock” collar, abusive, nor is it in-humane. However, in full disclosure, ANY training device such as : flat collars, leashes, pinch or choke chain collars, pitch tone collars, ect. Used inappropriately, ill-fitting, and not by a professional, can be in- humane and cause harm to your fur baby! Let our PIM professionals help you to understand training tools, methods, & communication to see our amazing results.
The e collar system works as a stimulation device to alert your pup that there is a command to follow. Much like the Pavlov’s Bell response, learned from psychology, your pup will learn the commands based on simultaneous: voice, show (hand commands), and stimulation (if needed). Based on our beliefs & methods, a clear communication of the command, in above sequence, must always be present and consistent for your pup to understand. Training aids paired with our training methods and beliefs make for a positive, humane and long lasting bond for you and your pup.
Learning together:
Here at PIM – we will educate owners on the proper use & fit of training equipment, our concepts & our methods that are used while training your pup! We will teach you everything needed to continue a successful transition back to your home and to flourish in companionship and communication.
