Greetings everyone,
PIM resides in Sacramento County on our family ranch. We have 2 border collie crosses, 1 “ranch” Rottweiler, 1 rescue Chi-Shepard mix and 1 lovely mutt, who was a roadside rescue that darted in front of my truck. I also have 5 horses and 1 very brave barn cat.
I have been lucky enough to live the country lifestyle my entire childhood and adult life. With that lifestyle came my love for animals & decades of experience in animal husbandry.
I love all animals, but horses and dogs have a very special place in my heart. You can always find me riding my horses with my dogs packing alongside, playing & training client & family ranch dogs, or in my younger years, watching my father, a K9 police dog handler, train, bond & work with his partner!
You can also find me saving and fostering just about anything with fur. Currently, I work closely with local shelters and rescues donating training services for dogs deemed “high risk” or “unadaptable.” My passion is compassion for animals and giving them a second lease for quality life, love and warmth.
In my previous corporate avenues, I have worked in the veterinary field as well as the human medical field for 25 years prior to full time dog training. In my ‘spare time’ I compete in barrel racing and have been training horses and giving lessons for the past 20 years.
Compassion, understanding and individuality all go hand in hand when training. I hope to incorporate all of those while your fur-family member is training with me. I look forward to working with your pups and with you.
Cheers to great pups and great owners,
Christina D.
